Frequently Asked Questions

HOW CAN I VISIT THE FARM?

Since we are a busy working farm, we’re not able to receive spontaneous visitors. But, we do offer farm tours, which is a great way to come and see the farm and learn more about what we’re doing. Learn more about our tours here

WHAT DO YOU GROW?

We like to consider ourselves a small community farm so you will not find a large scale monoculture crop.  We grow everything from annual fruits/vegetables to cut flowers.  We also have an orchard with a variety of fruits and are starting the foundations for our permaculture food forest.

WHAT IS REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE?

“Regenerative Agriculture” describes farming and grazing practices that, among other benefits, reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restoring degraded soil biodiversity – resulting in both carbon drawdown and improving the water cycle.

WHAT IS PERMACULTURE?

Permaculture is an approach to land management and philosophy that adopts arrangements observed in flourishing natural ecosystems.  It includes a set of design principles derived using whole systems thinking.  It uses these principles in fields such as regenerative agriculture, rewilding, and community resilience.

Summer Camp F.A.Q.

The Wozani Farm "Must-Haves"

To ensure your camper has the best experience, please send them with a backpack containing the following items each day. Please label everything with your child’s name.

 1. The "Farm Uniform" (Wear these!)
- Closed-Toe Shoes: This is a firm safety rule. Sneakers or boots only (no sandals or Crocs). We will be walking through flower rows and near farm tools.
- Comfortable Clothes: Think "Play Clothes." We will be playing in the dirt, kneading dough, and potentially getting stained by flower petals.
- A Hat: A wide-brimmed hat or baseball cap is essential for field time.

 2. Inside the Backpack:
- Water Bottle: An insulated, reusable water bottle (at least 18oz). We have a refill station!
- Sunscreen & Bug Spray: Please apply the first coat at home; we will supervise "re-ups" before we head into the field.
- A Change of Clothes: Including socks! Farm life can get wet or muddy, especially on "Watering Days."
- A Light Jacket/Sweatshirt: Mornings on the farm can be chilly even in the summer.
- Beach Towel: For Fridays, drying off after water play.
- A Sturdy Lunchbox: While we will provide some farm-fresh snacks, please pack a filling lunch for your child.

What to Leave at Home
- Electronics: We are a "Plugged-into-Nature" camp. No phones, tablets, or gaming devices.
- Flip-Flops: These are a safety hazard around farm equipment and stubbly flower stalks.
- Toys/Trading Cards: We’d hate for a favorite toy to get lost in the sunflower patch!

What is your refund policy?
Registration fees are non-refundable. If your plans change, we are happy to move your registration to a different camp week (subject to availability) or transfer your spot to another child. Please notify us at least 14 days before your camp week begins.

What happens if it rains? Camp happens rain or shine! We have sheltered areas on the farm to keep campers dry during passing showers. In the event of extreme or dangerous weather, we will contact parents directly with safety updates or adjusted hours. Please ensure your child brings a raincoat if the forecast looks wet.

Are there bathrooms on site? Yes! We have clean, accessible restroom facilities available for all campers throughout the day, along with designated hand-washing stations to keep everyone clean after farm activities. Monarch Meadows homeschool co op will also be allowing us to use her beautiful classroom.
